West Australia's premier baseball field which hosted this years nationals is a 10 minute drive from Southern River B & B

Southern River B & B is only a short drive to public and private golf courses - why not book in for a round or two and meet some locals who share your passion.

Cricket  at the WACA - West Australian Cricket Oval - in the centre of the city, day and night matches under the big lights, close to public transport

Ascot & Belmont Park Race Course - a short 20 minute train ride or 20 minute drive.  Enjoy the fun and fair of Australia's horse racing, come all dressed up or in casual clothing, place a bet, grab a snack or sit down meal.

 Harness Racing at Gloucester Park

Gloucester Park is Western Australia's premier harness racing venue, overlooking the beautiful Swan River and located only minutes from the Perth Central Business District. Exhilarating, first class harness racing happens every Friday night on a world class half mile circuit, with facilities that put you right in the centre of the action. Race meetings are also held on some Saturday nights, as well as during the week on Monday or Tuesdays.
 

     

Swimming at Pristine Beaches the entire length of Western Australia - or you can go to a local aquatic centre - Southern River B & B has it's own heated swimming pool, or you can wander along to Thornlie Leisure world, indoor pool, spa, sauna & gymnasium facilities.

Rottnest Channel Swim

Battle natures elements during the crossing of the Rottnest Channel. The Rottnest Channel Swim is a 19.5 kilometre swim from Cottesloe to Thomson Bay on the holiday island of Rottnest. Participants can compete in teams of two or four, or for the extremely dedicated, a solo crossing.
