Western Australia has some wonderful National Parks and Natural Bushland with icy creeks and waterfalls

Just 10 minutes drive from Southern River B & B is

* Gosnells Pioneer Park - with tree top walk, wander through the park, play on the swings and activities, walk along the river the Gosnells Council Gardens, visit the library (knowledge centre) for the tourist information kiosk or sit in the amphitheatre.  Regular activities include the summer music festivals on most weekends.  Australia Day Big Breakfast and other festivals and expos.

* Cohunu Wildlife Park - one of the few places you can see Koala Bears in Perth/West Australia is only a 10 minute drive from our Southern River B & B - the park has a lookout over Perth, restaurant for lunches, gift shop with Australiana souvenirs and you can even cuddle a koala and have your photo taken. email for more information

* Araluen National Park - nestled in the Jarrah Forrest of Perth Hills just a 20 minute drive from Southern River B & B - wonderful display of local flora and renown for the display or tulips each spring

* Lesmurdie Falls - a short drive into the Darling Range will take you to the Lesmurdie Falls, with exquisite views of the city.  Surrounded by natural bushland, flora and fauna abound.

* Jarrahdale Heritage Trail- is a 30 minute drive from Southern River B & B, and old timber mill, the town now survives on tourism and its proximity to the Perth Southern Suburbs.  Visit the old hotel or wander the walk and bike trails throughout the tall timbers, you can even sip some wine and have a meal at the local winery.
