* Walkways and cycleways abound in the Perth metropolitan
area. Take a 15 minute walk along our Southern River, complete
the circuit in a peaceful, tranquil route through the natural
grasslands and treed areas from the B & B and return. You will
see native birds, maybe some of our more shy inhabitants in the
trees and flora native to our region.
Are you into cycling?
* Mundabiddi Bike Trail i9s a world class track, which winds
its way through the Darling Scarp from Mundaring to Dwellingup
(and soon to be thru to Collie) The Trail is for Mountain Bikes
only and has huts which have water and ablution blocks available
for use. You can do day trips, overnight, or longer. We can
organise for you to be dropped off at one of the points, then
picked up further down the trail. The Mundabiddi, is well
marked and very popular to locals and visitors. It is quite a
strenuous trail We can organise bikes and gear for you, should
you wish, just email

Facilities along the way include huts with bunks to sleep on,
water and toilet facilities as well as benches to repair
bicycles. Trails can be 1 day thru to several days.
Varying levels of difficulty are available
Beginners - a short half day trip on a relatively
easy leg of the Munda Biddi Track - your day includes pick up by
bus, a short drive to the start point in the hills 20 minutes
from our B & B, a Bike and Helmet and refreshments provided.

City Bike Paths
Many cycle paths wind their way
thru the city, at Burswood Park, near the Casino, the cycle
paths follow the river between the bridges, which is about
an hours ride for the novice, you can have a picnic near the
outdoor theatre and the children can play on the play
equipment and statues.
Most of Perth suburbs have safe & good
quality bike paths, maps are available, and most suburbs
have signs out showing which way to certain destinations.
Perth city is relatively flat, so cycling is a fun and easy
way to see Perth at your leisure.

How about a challenging walk?
The Bibbulmum Walk Trail is renowned throughout the
world for its challenging and rewarding trail through the
Darling Scarp, from Mundaring to Albany. The trail takes some
9 weeks to walk, but can be done in sections of 1 day, several
days or several weeks. We can organise to drop you off at your
chosen start point and picked up at your chosen destination.
Ellis Brook to Bickley
Reservoir
A leisurely stroll along the walkway thru the scarp will give
you views of the city and the rolling countryside towards the
coast. When you reach your destination, there is a picturesque
picnic & barbecue area - but watch out for the Kookaburra's they
will steal your food!
Alternatively, from Ellis Brook, you can climb the hills to
the waterfall (rain permitting) where you can see amazing views
of the city.
